Sentinel Federal Credit Union is seeking a dedicated and service-focused Financial Services Representative to join our team. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the heart of our member experience—providing personalized financial solutions, guiding members through loan options, supporting teller operations, and opening new accounts. While previous experience is a plus, Sentinel is prepared to provide robust, on-the-job training for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- Support Members’ Financial Journeys
Originate and process consumer loans, explain loan options, and assist members with questions about rates, credit, and documentation. - Build Relationships
Open new accounts, assist with account maintenance, and provide thoughtful financial counseling and education. - Deliver Exceptional Service
Perform efficient and accurate teller transactions, resolve member issues, and ensure each interaction reflects our commitment to care and confidentiality. - Lead and Learn
Coach and support teller staff, cross-train in related positions, and participate in ongoing training, conferences, and team meetings. - Keep Things Running Smoothly
Process reports, maintain loan and account documentation, handle IRAs, and support compliance with financial regulations and Credit Union policies.

Position Details:
Job Title: Financial Services Representative
Classification: Full-Time, Hourly
Minimum Starting Pay: $18.30 - $23.50/hour with flexibility for highly qualified candidates

Requirements/Preferences
A minimum of 18 years of age is required.
A valid driver’s license may be required.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
College level education preferred.
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
A combination of experience and education may be accepted.
For promotional opportunities: no conduct or performance concerns/disciplinary actions in previous 12 months.

Ability to assess needs of multiple members and prioritize requests to ensure that all members receive the highest quality of service possible. Ability to present a professional and personable personality that communicates to members and visitors that the credit union is a professional financial institution. Ability to interact with more than one department daily. Ability to work within precise standardized guidelines with some latitude to make decisions and take initiative to resolve problems or unique circumstances. Ability to use a rational and organized approach to completing tasks.
