Finish Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our commercial construction team. This role is responsible for high-quality installation of trim, millwork, cabinetry, doors, and other finish components, ensuring precision craftsmanship and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble finish carpentry elements including baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, doors, frames, windows, cabinetry, and hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and installation methods.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery in a safe and effective manner.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit wood and other materials to precise dimensions.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and hazard reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of finish carpentry experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Proficient in using woodworking tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, joinery, and installation best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Solid math and measuring skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
