Finish Carpenters and Ironworkers

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Finish Carpenters and Ironworkers to join our commercial construction team. 

 Carpenter Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble finish carpentry elements including baseboards, crown molding, wainscoting, doors, frames, windows, cabinetry, and hardware.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials and installation methods.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery in a safe and effective manner.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit wood and other materials to precise dimensions.
• Ensure all work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper PPE use and hazard reporting.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area.

 Ironworker Key Responsibilities

• Erect, install, and bolt together structural steel framework for commercial buildings, bridges, and other structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications to determine layout, materials, and installation requirements.
• Align structural steel members using plumb bobs, levels, lasers, and other measuring tools.
• Safely rig, hoist, and position steel components with the assistance of cranes and rigging equipment.
• Perform cutting, welding, grinding, and bolting of steel materials as needed.
• Install metal decking, stairs, ladders, and miscellaneous ironwork items.
• Participate in pre-task planning, job hazard analysis (JHA), and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and time records, reporting progress and issues to the foreman or superintendent.
• Follow company and OSHA safety regulations, using fall protection and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Work cooperatively with other trades, project teams, and site management to achieve project milestones.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Proficient in using  tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of techniques, joinery, and installation best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Solid math and measuring skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
• Safety awareness and compliance.
