POSITION SUMMARY
Detailer thoroughly cleans interior and exterior of each truck. They prepare trucks for vacuuming, washing, and other cleaning duties. They will inspect the paint for necessary touch ups and/or buffing. Also, a detailer will review checklists to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The following are the essential duties of this position and do not include marginal functions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. The scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs of Rosenbauer.
Thoroughly cleans interior and exterior of each truck.
Prepares truck for waxing, polishing, vacuuming, washing, and other cleaning duties.
Assembles loose equipment specified for each truck after all cleaning duties are done.
Reviews checklist to ensure all tasks are completed.
Inspects and repairs paint for necessary touch ups and /or buffing.
Takes final photos of the completed truck.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA’S):
K | Knowledge, Education, and/or Experience: High school diploma/GED required. 6 months of related experience required. Strong attention to detail is required.

S | Skills: Language: - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Math: Computer Skills: |
A | Abilities: Knowledge of basic inspection tools, machining skills or related fields. Able to recognize the importance and adhere to all safety policies to promote a safe working environment. Ability to read a tape measure accurately and precisely. - Communicate progress of project to the appropriate Supervisor or Shift Lead.
- Locate work orders and process them within the time allotment according to the work order, production schedule, and department objectives.
Able to follow written and verbal directions and do so with a positive attitude. Ability to work with minimal supervision and work well in a team environment. - Ability to identify quality issues and recognize changes within one’s production process and make the needed adjustments.
- Understand the need to support the organization to work effectively by adhering to the attendance and punctuality standards and does not burden co-workers and supervisors unfairly with unnecessary and unplanned absences and lateness.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
