Job Summary:
Graphic Packaging International is seeking a motivated Gluer Operator to join our Sioux Falls production team. While this position is located in Sioux Falls, SD, we are actively recruiting candidates from the Omaha, NE area. Ideal candidates should be open to commuting or relocating to Sioux Falls. This role involves operating and maintaining gluing and finishing equipment to ensure high-quality packaging products. Prior experience with window equipment, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain gluing and finishing equipment according to company procedures and safety standards.
- Perform basic mechanical adjustments and troubleshooting on production equipment.
- Ensure quality and consistency of products by following standard operating procedures.
- Assist in training and guiding other team members, demonstrating leadership skills when needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic mechanical skills required for operating and maintaining finishing equipment.
- Experience with window equipment preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to adapt to new procedures, equipment, and production demands.
- Knowledge of proper use of tools and equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Basic math skills required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Able to lift and handle at least 50 lbs.
- Willingness and ability to work any shift, including overtime as required.
- Able to work in a production environment with standard noise, temperature, and operational conditions.
