Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic Apprentice will work under the supervision of our senior mechanics in our shop and or in the field. Repair and maintenance work will be on pumps, manlifts, telehandlers, skid steers, loaders, excavators, articulating trucks, graders, dozers, water trucks, and on aggregate wash plants. This is a great opportunity to learn and gain experience towards a heavy equipment mechanic position. Work sites extend from Denver, CO to north of Cheyenne, WY.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Does not have any direct reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for tasks such as oil changes, changing light bulbs, power washing equipment, etc.
• Will assist senior mechanics with any work requiring two individuals.
• Minimal welding skills would be an asset but not required.
• Minimal tools required.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Able to work alone or in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Relevant mechanical education preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
• Physically fit to perform the job functions, including the ability to stand, squat, bend, lift, and walk for long durations
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Ability to work outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions as well as noisy and dusty conditions.
