Description
Pollman Excavation Inc. is searching for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to undertake the maintenance and repair of our fleet of construction machinery, trucks and trailers. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, and servicing a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and trucks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests on heavy equipment, trucks and trailers to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication of equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance work performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient coordination of repairs and equipment availability.
- Delivery, loading and unloading of various machines
Qualifications
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems of heavy equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A positive attitude in difficult situations.
- Valid Class A drivers license.
- Punctuality- Be on time and stay until the work day is complete.
