Job Summary
Duke Rentals is seeking a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic at our Des Moines, IA location. This role includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and ensuring equipment meets safety and manufacturer standards.

PAY: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour STARTING - Based on Experience

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday – Friday
- Overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to operate a variety of aerial lift equipment & related tools
- Service hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and manufacturer standards
- Maintain service records and documentation
- Coordinate repairs with shop supervisor and parts department
- Operate company service vehicle safely
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR
- 3 years of experience in equipment repair or mechanical service
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
Physical Requirements
- Working in indoor and outdoor environments
- Exposure to shop chemicals, grease, oils, and equipment noise
- Lifting up to 100lbs occasionally
- Climbing, kneeling, bending, & standing for extended periods
