Job Description

Our HR Consultant serves as a business partner to various clients, delivering compliant, practical, and scalable HR solutions. This role blends advisory work with hands-on execution across compliance, employee relations, policy development, and HR operations. The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented and client-facing, with the ability to translate complex regulations into clear, actionable guidance. This is a flexible hours position ranging from 25-30 hours per week.

  • Advise clients on U.S. federal and state employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and wage and hour compliance
  • Draft and audit employee handbooks, policies, and job descriptions to ensure legal compliance and clarity
  • Support employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and documentation best practices
  • Conduct HR audits
  • Design and implement HR workflows such as onboarding, offboarding, and performance management processes
  • Deliver manager training on topics such as documentation, compliance, and leadership effectiveness (aligned with internal training frameworks )
  • Partner with clients to optimize HRIS systems (Paylocity, BambooHR, Workday) and reporting capabilities
  • Provide guidance on compensation structures, benchmarking, and pay equity considerations
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with data privacy standards
