Sentinel Federal Credit Union is hiring a knowledgeable and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to support our Human Resources function. This role serves as a resource for employees and supervisors while assisting with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training, compliance, and other Human Resources programs and processes.

Pay Range

Wage depends on direct experience, education, and proven skills with flexibility for a highly qualified candidate.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and support daily Human Resources operations, programs, policies, and procedures

  • Assist employees and supervisors with Human Resources questions, concerns, policies, and employee relations matters

  • Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and supporting hiring managers throughout the hiring process

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding activities to help create a positive employee experience

  • Administer employee benefit programs, assist with open enrollment activities, and support compensation-related processes

  • Coordinate employee training, development opportunities, and organizational learning initiatives

  • Maintain employee records, workforce data, and Human Resources reports while ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Support employee engagement, recognition, retention, and organizational culture initiatives

  • Assist with performance evaluation processes and provide resources and guidance to supervisors

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, organizational policies, and Human Resources best practices

Who You Are

  • At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license preferred

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two years of Human Resources or related experience required

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred

  • Experience in a Credit Union or financial institution environment preferred

  • Knowledge of Human Resources practices, employment laws, and employee relations principles

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities

  • Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
