We want YOU here! REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:Two years post-secondary education. Related experience will be considered in lieu of education requirement.
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:One to three years' experience in a human resources, payroll, or other business-related field.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, speaking, hearing, use of wrists, hands, and fingers. Constant sitting, standing, or walking. Frequent keyboarding, typing, writing, and filing.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Demonstrated ability to work with people in a positive manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task effectively. Technologically skilled in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and human resources management systems. Must be available to work overtime during peak workload periods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES - Assists in the data entry and maintenance of employment records across District systems.
- Assists employees with Payroll/Human Resources inquiries.
- Calculates salaries based on FTE and calendar.
- Calculates employee leave banks.
- Processes separations of employment and launches online employee exit surveys.
- Assists with audits and reports to ensure database and payroll accuracy.
- Contacts administrators to verify employee record information.
- Prepares Personnel Report for the School Board.
- Processes employment verifications.
- Administers the substitute staff Rapid! PayCard process.
- Assists with the onboarding of new employees: meets with new employees, badge photo processing, fingerprinting for background checks, develops and maintains employee files, tracking completion of required documents, inputs employee information into database, communicates with new employees, forwards new employee information to HR/Payroll Liaisons
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.
PAY INFORMATIONSpecialist - Level KX, starting at $23.23 per hour
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTEMonday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 1-hour unpaid break
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 12 months
