This is a Full-Time 40 Hours Weekly position with the Department of Social Services. For more information on the DSS, please visit https://dss.sd.gov .
Summary:
This position works within the admissions department of an inpatient psychiatric hospital . This position coordinates, conducts, and screens potential admissions to SDHSC primarily for the Competency Restoration Treatment Program. This will include responding to referral sources, consulting with hospital staff, collecting and analyzing patient records and patient registration. This position will work closely with attorney, court systems, evaluators, jail administration, and community mental health centers to identify appropriate levels of care for the referred individuals. The candidate hired into this position will review legal paperwork to ensure it is in accordance with state statutes.
This position works primarily Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. and will work an administrative leave day rotation.
Licenses and Certifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services field

- utilize various computer applications.
This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
