Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-oriented healthcare scheduling professional to coordinate complex MRI and procedural services. This role coordinates orders, authorizations, patient screening, records, equipment, transportation, and multiple clinical teams to ensure patients are properly prepared and scheduled.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Coordinate MRI and procedural schedules, including MRI, OR, Pain Clinic, CT, and infusion services.
- Coordinate pre-procedure requirements, including physician orders, authorizations, insurance, safety screening, demographics, and required documentation.
- Select the appropriate MRI resource based on patient needs, safety requirements, and equipment availability, including Open Upright and 3T MRI.
- Collaborate with physicians, clinics, MRI technologists, Medical Records, Recovery Care, and other hospital teams to coordinate procedures and resolve scheduling needs.
- Manage competing priorities related to patients, providers, equipment, and scanner availability.
- Coordinate special patient needs, including MRI scheduling and transportation for Recovery Care patients.
- Communicate with patients and physician offices to schedule procedures, provide preparation information, and obtain needed information.
- Serve as a central point of contact for MRI scheduling and communicate scheduling changes, needs, and concerns to appropriate team members.
THIS ROLE IS A GOOD FIT FOR SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE IN:
- Imaging/radiology, surgery/OR, procedure, or pre-operative scheduling
- Complex healthcare or hospital-based scheduling
- Centralized scheduling or coordinating multiple departments
- Physician orders, prior authorizations, insurance verification, and healthcare documentation
- Scheduling services involving specialized equipment or limited resources
SHIFTS
Five 8-hour shifts Monday-Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM.
No Weekends. No On-Call. No Holidays.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Healthcare scheduling or medical office experience preferred, particularly in imaging/radiology, surgery/OR, procedural services, pre-operative coordination, or centralized scheduling.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and healthcare workflows highly preferred.
- AHA CPR certification required; may be obtained after hire.
