Job Description
Due to continued growth and a coming expansion, Fermentation Experts is seeking 1 full-time grain dryer operator. This is a position that works a 3/2 schedule with hours of 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The job responsibilities include running the grain dryer, blending of grains, and overseeing the loading and unloading of trucks. Our grain dryer operators are also responsible for assisting in scheduled preventive maintenance of equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
The dryer operator is primarily responsible for following procedures and policies put in place to ensure the desired outcome of the finished product. Must be able to effectively communicate progress reports to management and other departments to keep them informed. Must be able to use good judgment to troubleshoot when problems arise.
Follow the maintenance plan in place to determine the proper operation of the grain dryer.
Safe work practices are a condition of employment. Must report safety or maintenance issues immediately to the supervisor.
Work towards maintaining a team environment with a focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of the job and finished product. Work to promote the company's vision, mission, and values.
Be dependable to report to work at scheduled times and is seldom absent from work without prior notice.
Be dependable to work independently and complete work in a timely and accurate manner. Be flexible with new duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school education or GED is preferred
Must have basic computer skills. Will be seated for times greater than one hour to perform data entry.
Manage confined space entry, climb ladders and steps, lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Must be able to adapt to an outside work environment that will include exposure to cold, heat, wind, rain, snow, and some slippery surfaces. Will be exposed to high levels of noise.
Elevated work is required. You MUST be comfortable working at heights of 100+ feet with proper fall protection equipment.
Prior work experience in the production and transportation of grain desired but not necessary.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
