Job Description

Do you have mechanical and/or welding/fabrication skills? Are you looking for an opportunity to use those skills fulltime in a role that encourages creativity? 

Due to continued growth and expansion plans, we are adding an industrial millwright/mechanic to our team. This position will be responsible for performing preventative/emergency repairs to grain drying equipment as well as basic forklift and skidsteer maintenance/repairs. 

This is a great opportunity for current machine operators with some mechanical or welding background that are looking to take that step into maintenance.

Working with a team, the millwrights core responsibilities include:

Performing preventative/emergency maintenance on grain drying/processing equipment.

Making modifications to existing equipment as part of process and safety improvements.

Working with production team to identify areas of improvement, planning, and executing improvements.

Actively clean and maintain shop area, tools, and parts inventory. 

Basic computer skills including sending emails, using the internet for research, and using various pieces of maintenance related software.

Ability to operate forklift, skidsteer, telehandler or the willingness to learn. 

Fabrication including cutting, grinding, welding steel. Reading a tape measure and calculating angles are critical. 

Knowledge of correct and safe usage of hand and power tools.

Work safely, work well with others, and work well alone. 

Read and write English - bilingual a plus.

Other duties as assigned. 

 

Manage confined space entry, bend, crouch, climb ladders and steps, lift /move 50 pounds. Must be able to adapt to an outside work environment that will include exposure to cold, heat, wind, rain, snow, and some slippery surfaces. Will be exposed to high levels of noise. 

Elevated work is required. You MUST be comfortable working at heights of 100+ feet with proper fall protection equipment. 

Prior work experience in the production and transportation of grain desired but not necessary.

This position is typically Monday thru Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM with occasional overtime as projects demand.
