*APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER. Position Description: We are seeking two interns (preference to graduate-level) to support our department's data analytics strategy. This role is ideal for students with a strong foundation in data principles who are looking to apply their skills in a real-world setting focused on public service and operational improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create data reports and visualizations using SQL and Power BI.
- Support documentation of data processes, workflows, and reporting standards.
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and validate data outputs.
- Help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability across reporting tools.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards and performance metrics.
- Experience with SQL and PowerBI are required.
Qualifications: Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
