Position Description:
The Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Intern will support various projects within the Division of Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS). The intern's primary responsibility is to conduct onsite and/or desk reviews to ensure compliance with program requirements. Additional duties may include developing training and program materials, delivering training to providers and service participants, conducting surveys with participants, performing administrative tasks, and engaging directly with service participants, providers, LTSS field staff, and LTSS program staff
Qualifications:
Course work in sociology, human services, nursing or related field may be beneficial, but not required.
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
