Position Description:
The Public Relations & Content Services Intern will support Travel South Dakota's mission by assisting the communications team in telling the state's story through strategic content creation, travel writer and media hosting support, events and logistics, and constituent engagement. This role offers hands-on experience in public relations, writing, influencer relations, and content calendar planning.
The intern will contribute to communications that inspire travelers, strengthen relationships with media and stakeholders, and support the execution of integrated campaigns that elevate South Dakota as a must-visit destination.
A college student seeking a major in public relations, communications and marketing is preferred.
Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.
