Inventory Analyst Summer Intern (Full-Time)
Location: Sioux Falls, SD (On-Site) Schedule: Mon.-Fri. 40 hrs/week Pay: $18.00 per hour

Join ESI as an Inventory Analyst Intern and support our Vice President overseeing Buyers, the Parts Warehouse, and Program Managers. As our customer base grows, so does the complexity of our inventory and this role helps bring clarity and accuracy to it.
This internship combines data analysis and hands-on warehouse verification, making it ideal for someone who likes both computer-based work and understanding how things operate in the real world.
What You’ll Do
- Review and organize inventory data for accuracy and consistency
- Match customer part numbers to internal part numbers using spreadsheets and documentation
- Perform physical verification in the warehouse to confirm parts, quantities, and locations
- Identify and reconcile differences between system records and physical inventory
- Assist in categorizing and restructuring part data for better usability
- Help improve tracking tools, logs, and documentation
- Collaborate with Buyers, Warehouse staff, and Program Managers
- Track discrepancies and communicate findings clearly
What We’re Looking For
Current college student pursuing a degree in on of the following:
Supply Chain
Business
Engineering
Operations
Accounting
Analytics
Or related field
Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
Ability to stay focused on detailed or repetitive tasks
Comfortable working both at a computer and in a warehouse environment
Curious, analytical mindset (someone who enjoys figuring things out)

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role works in both:
- Office settings
- Warehouse / manufacturing environments
Must be able to:
- Move between office and warehouse spaces regularly
- Verify physical inventory and labeling
- Work safely in warehouse and production areas
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
