ABOUT THE POSITION
The Inventory Clerk – Sioux Falls plays a vital operational role in supporting our manufacturing and supply chain teams. This position is responsible for accurate receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials essential to our team production team. You will act as the logistical hub of our Sioux Falls facility, managing inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining a strictly organized warehouse, and ensuring materials are delivered safely and on time.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate combines administrative skills with physical capabilities (loading trucks, forklift operation, and local driving).
The successful candidate will be someone with a positive attitude who is self-motivated, flexible, and committed to working hard with the Creative Surfaces team.
Key Responsibilities
Review packing lists
Verifying all shipments received match the associated purchase order
Process and put away inbound purchases
Request and manage outbound shipments
Load and unload trucks, including Rude, Cambria, VT, etc.
Manage and deliver local product deliveries
Organize and manage the warehouse
Weekly [JP1] inventory reporting
Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
The role of Inventory Clerk – Sioux Falls is physically demanding and requires candidates to meet the following bona fide requirements:
- Regularly required to talk or hear
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, walk upstairs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 75 lbs.
- Capability to work in various physical positions, including sitting, standing, bending, crouching, and working at heights.
- Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Interacts with general labor employees
- Manual dexterity required to operate computer, forklift and peripherals
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous purchasing or warehouse experience
Computer literate
Ability to operate vehicles ranging from pick-up to 26’ Straight Truck
Clean driving record
Previous forklift experience required
Able to obtain DOT Health Card within 15 days of start date (Company pays for Health Card, Physical and time required to obtain)
Ability to read blueprints and a tape measure
Detail oriented and organized person – multi-tasking is a must
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint);
