Assist in monitoring systems and networks for potential vulnerabilities and security threats.
Use security tools (Arctic Wolf) to conduct vulnerability scans and assessments on applications, systems, and networks.
Analyze and prioritize identified vulnerabilities based on risk levels.
Document vulnerabilities, incidents, and security findings in detailed reports.
Provide recommendations for remediating security weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
Work with the security team to track the progress of vulnerability resolution efforts.
Help maintain and update security documentation, including incident logs and reports.
Stay up to date on the latest security trends, tools, and vulnerabilities.
Assist with additional security tasks and projects as needed.
Other tasks as assigned by management.
Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Basic understanding of IT security principles and practices.
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS) and methodologies.
Basic knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and firewalls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to document security issues clearly and accurately.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
