Sentinel Federal Credit Union is hiring a friendly and dependable Junior Teller to join our team. This role is a great opportunity for mature high school students, college students, or those obtaining their GED. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for a flexible part-time position while gaining real-world experience in a professional environment.
As a Junior Teller, you will assist members with everyday transactions while learning how a financial institution operates. During your time with Sentinel, you will have opportunities to observe and learn from many different departments, including accounting, lending, electronic services, risk management, collections, and operations.
This position is ideal for someone who wants to explore the financial industry, build professional skills, and gain experience that can lead to future career opportunities. Whether your goal is a certificate, college degree, or long-term career, this is a great way to get your foot in the door while working in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Pay Range
- Wage starts at $16.35/hour with access to bonuses, incentive pay, and yearly merit based increases.

What You’ll Do
Assist members with basic transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments
Maintain and balance a cash drawer according to Credit Union procedures
Provide friendly, accurate service in person and on the phone
Answer questions and direct members to the appropriate staff when needed
Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and security guidelines
Support branch operations including drive-up, night drop, and general member service tasks
Learn about additional products and services in order to better assist members
Participate in training and opportunities to learn about different departments within the Credit Union
Who You Are
At least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license
High school diploma, GED, or currently working toward completion
Responsible, dependable, and willing to learn
Comfortable working with money and numbers
Friendly and professional when working with members and coworkers
Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information accurately
Friendly, organized, and dependable
Comfortable multitasking and learning new systems
Able to sit, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Schedule
- Varies depending on your availability and branch needs. Hours may be scheduled Monday – Friday between 7:45am and 5:45pm.
- Every to every other Saturday (8:45-12:15) required.
