Position Summary:
Dakotah Steakhouse is seeking an experienced and motivated KM to lead our back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a passion for food, a deep understanding of steakhouse cuisine, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, efficiency, and team morale. This is an evening-based role that requires daily availability from 4 PM to 10 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations during evening service hours (4 PM – 10 PM)
- Supervise, schedule, and train kitchen staff to ensure consistent food quality and efficient service
- Maintain inventory levels, place food and supply orders, and manage vendor relationships
- Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and support cost control initiatives
- Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service and communication
- Manage kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and food storage protocols
- Assist in menu planning, specials creation, and recipe standardization
- Lead by example in creating a positive and productive kitchen culture
