Large Format Operations Specialist
Job Description:
The Large Format Printing & Signage Operations Specialist will play a key role in printing and producing the signage portion of Alphagraphics of Sioux Falls. This position involves a blend of technical, operational, and strategic responsibilities aimed at ensuring high-quality, efficient production, collaboration with our sales and project management teams, and seamless service for our clients.
Key duties include:
Primary Responsibilities
• Equipment Management: Operate, maintain, and evaluate large format printing equipment. Ensure optimal performance by coordinating regular maintenance and repairs with vendors/technicians.
• Supplier and Inventory Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with materials suppliers. Oversee ordering, inventory levels, and stock replenishment to support ongoing projects.
• Production Planning & Job Scheduling: Coordinate project scope and timelines with sales and project management, manage production schedules, balance resources, and ensure on-time project delivery.
• Quality Control & Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards, conduct inspections, track errors for improvement, and lead initiatives to reduce waste and enhance product quality.
• Installation Coordination: Conduct site visits for installation assessment, ensuring alignment with production requirements and estimates. Oversee scheduling and coordination with third-party installers, ensuring they have the materials and information needed for smooth installations.
• Direct Installation Support: Participate in installations where needed and assess on-site conditions to troubleshoot or improve processes.
• External Signage Permitting & Vendor Coordination: Manage exterior signage permits, third-party fabrication, and equipment rentals as required. Coordinate closely with third-party vendors to align on production and installation timelines.
