Job: Laser Nesting Programmer
Classification: Non-exempt
Schedule: 10-hour days, Monday-Thursday.
Job Summary: This position is responsible for generating the body parts to be laid out and utilizing a flat sheet of steel for the laser to cut the parts.
Responsibilities: Utilizes work orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements. Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Program and maintain current file revisions of all client parts. Interpret engineering blueprints to program flat pattern layouts. Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Skills: Basis computer knowledge. Possesses strong communication skills. Ability to communicate with operator to ensure project dates are adhered too. Fabrication knowledge is a plus. Abilities to work within tight deadlines. Highly motivated, proactive and hand on approach and attitude. Produce customer drawing requirements as quickly and accurately as possible.
Qualifications: Must sit for extended periods of time at a computer. Must be able to read, write and communicate with operators. Able to work independently and is self-motivated.
