Department: Production
Reports to: Plant Manager

Job Summary:
Under the direction and in support of the Plant Manager and Assistant Plant Manager, the Leadman is responsible for all primary or plant-related maintenance duties, training, and safely performing procedures at the site.

Location:
Ragsdale Reservoir – Fort Lupton, CO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate work assignments, job priorities, and job planning with the Plant Manager/Assistant Plant Manager on projects being performed.
• Responsible for mine or plant safety and maintenance inspections.
• Direct the work assignments for employees in the department.
• Train and mentor employees on safety, work skills, policies, equipment, and job-specific needs.
• Organize jobs to ensure parts, materials, equipment, and safety-related resources are prepared for use.
• Communicate required parts, tools, resources to Plant Manager in a timely manner.
• Mentor and provide employee reminders regarding safety and work rules and inform the Plant Manager of repeated violations.
• Perform maintenance scheduling and ensure preventative maintenance is performed on time.
• Ensure plant is operational and prepared for safe operation for the next production shift.
• Perform maintenance after daily production run or when scheduled.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance.
  Submit required records to Plant Manager.
• Meet or exceed established metrics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Possess a mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety.
• Ability to determine work priorities for the team.
• Ability to train and instruct others.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot as well assist with and perform maintenance tasks.
• Attentive to detail so that service and inspection results are recorded accurately.
• Torch and welding skills required.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Knowledge of MSHA rules.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in aggregate mining or plant operation and maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

• Performing the job’s essential functions requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; also walking over uneven terrain and climbing ladders.
• This position must be able to lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with or without assistance.
• Perform a variety of assigned duties in occasionally highly interruptive conditions.
  Ability to perform assigned job duties under pressure and in adverse working conditions.
• This position must work outside in all different weather conditions including extreme cold and extreme heat.
