We are seeking a Licensed Architect with over 10 years of experience to join our growing team. This role offers career advancement, the opportunity to work on diverse projects, and collaboration with industry-leading professionals.

Position Overview:
As a Licensed Architect, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of multiple projects. You will oversee all project phases, from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as you will also manage both internal teams and external consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Foster professional relationships with clients, team members, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects, promoting clear communication and teamwork.
  • Assist senior management in defining project scope, budgets, and contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver project proposals and client presentations.
  • Integrate sustainable design solutions and encourage green workplace practices.
  • Oversee the selection of consultants and external partners.

Business Development:

  • Support business planning and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Participate in marketing and business development efforts.

Staff Development:

  • Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
  • Make recommendations for staffing needs, promotions, or team changes.

Project Coordination:

  • Ensure smooth communication among all project participants, including contractors and subcontractors.
  • Oversee construction administration, ensuring adherence to design specifications and budget constraints.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular updates on project progress.
  • Understand client needs to create tailored design solutions.
  • Ensure that all designs meet client expectations and functional requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
  • Licensed as an architect in a U.S. state or NCARB-recognized jurisdiction.
  • 10+ years of architectural practice experience.
  • ACHA Accredited Healthcare Planner is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and InDesign is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of design trends, construction methods, and sustainability practices (LEED or Green Globes or B3 certification required within 12 months).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with federal, VA, or healthcare projects is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented team player capable of remaining calm under pressure.
