CLINIC NURSE (LPN OR CMA) – INTERVENTIONAL PAIN MANAGEMENT

Location: Orthopedic Institute – Sioux Falls, SD
Employment Type: Full-Time, Day Shift

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinic Nurse (LPN or Certified Medical Assistant) to support our Pain Management physicians and advanced practice providers. This role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with procedures, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring seamless communication across the care team. Key responsibilities for this position:

  • Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care in the clinic setting.

  • Prepare exam and procedure rooms, ensuring proper setup and cleanliness.

  • Conduct patient intake including vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation.

  • Provide patient education, guidance, and follow-up per provider instruction.

  • Assist with in-office procedures and specimen handling as needed.

  • Administer injections and medications as directed and within scope of practice.

  • Document care accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).

  • Support scheduling, patient flow, and coordination of care across services.

  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and organized clinical environment.

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN license (South Dakota or compact state) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.

  • Prior clinical experience in pain management, orthopedics, or a related specialty preferred.

  • Current BLS certification required.

  • MUST possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate with patients, clinic staff, and physicians.

  • MUST possess a positive attitude and willing to go the extra mile to provide an extraordinary patient experience

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
