Automobile Technician
Job Description: Maintains service operations by performing routine automotive maintenance tasks including oil changes, thorough inspections, install & repair tires, battery installations, bulb installations and other duties as assigned.
- Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
- Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
- Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
- Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
- Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
- Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
- Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues
- Creating detailed service reports for customers
- Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
- Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
- Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
- Assist is maintaining a clean shop environment.
- Work as a team member with other shop employees
- Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

High school diploma/GED required
At Least 1 Year Automotive Experience Required
