Lumber & Retail Operations Manager
COMPANY PROFILE:
Diverse, integrity, well rooted and in business for over 100 years; those are just a few ways to describe our client. This retail center is a central hub for the region’s building and hardware needs. They are now seeking to add a professional to oversee the operations of the facility.

THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY:
- Oversee daily operations across the lumber yard, hardware store, service teams, and estimating department while ensuring efficiency, safety, and profitability.
- Develop and execute cost-effective purchasing, sales, and inventory strategies to drive both short- and long-term growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and key customers to optimize pricing, supply, and business opportunities.
- Lead, train, and support staff in product knowledge, safety practices, and operational excellence, fostering a culture of accountability and improvement.
- Monitor financial performance, budgets, and market trends to adapt strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Job Requirements
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
• 7+ years experience in retail, lumber, hardware or construction business.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Excellent leadership skills.
