Job Description
This position will directly report to the Maintenance Managers and work with all Management, Production and Maintenance personnel. This position is primarily responsible for performing building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs as necessary. Responsible for compliance with safety and all other company policies, SQF regulations and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
Essential Job Duties
- Diagnose and repair Mechanical Failures (i.e. bearings, Seals, pumps, etc.)
- Perform advanced preventative maintenance on machines and building as assigned daily.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- CIP Knowledge (pumps, valves, controller, etc.)
- Work with the Maintenance manager and Purchasing Supervisor to ensure repair parts are ordered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with unplanned machine breakdowns as needed.
- Maintain daily PM paperwork.
- Ensure safe use of equipment.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
- Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing and welding are beneficial.
- This is a 1st and 2nd shift position
Qualifications
- Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
- Able to operate skid loaders and pallet jacks.
- Communication and Intrapersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills able to use preventative maintenance software.
- Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety requirements, including PPE.
