Position Summary
The Maintenance, Grounds & Janitorial Keeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness, upkeep, and appearance of Jerry’s Auto Sales facilities and grounds in Lennox. This role ensures that the dealership, service areas, and outdoor lots are safe, clean, and visually appealing for both customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
Groundskeeping & Exterior Care
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of dealership lots, sidewalks, and entryways.
  • Perform general lawn care and landscaping tasks.
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks, entryways, and parking lots during winter months.
  • Collect and properly dispose of trash and debris around the property.
Building & Facility Maintenance
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on dealership buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Assist with painting, light carpentry, plumbing, and general handyman tasks.
  • Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other consumables as needed.
  • Support seasonal maintenance tasks
Janitorial Duties
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and customer waiting areas.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust offices, showrooms, and service areas.
  • Empty trash cans and recycling bins daily.
  • Wash windows, glass doors, and display surfaces as needed.
  • Ensure dealership interiors remain tidy, professional, and welcoming.
Safety & Compliance
  • Monitor grounds and facilities for safety hazards and promptly address or report them.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in safe working order.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior maintenance, custodial, or janitorial experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of tools, cleaning supplies, and groundskeeping equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
