Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for the smooth operation of Dells Nursing and Rehab Center and Colton Retirement Living by performing various duties in and around the building and grounds. Duties include preventative maintenance, repairs and corrects maintenance problems of equipment and buildings, ground works, painting and snow removal. Assures that the water heaters, call lights and air conditioning systems are in proper operating condition. Is on-call during all hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Duties:
- Overall maintenance of the entire facility
- Preventative maintenance and repair to assure efficient operating equipment
- Performs many different tasks throughout the daily shift
- Other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
- Must be in good physical and mental condition.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting/carrying and perform repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.
- Sits, stands, bends, stoops, crouches, kneels and walks intermittently throughout the work day.
Qualifications:
- Ability and willingness to cooperate with other departments, residents, families, and outside vendors.
- Must be organized and have leadership and communication skills.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
- Experience with fixing electrical problems, sewer systems and other general maintenance difficulties.
- 2 years’ experience in maintenance or contractor field
