Job Summary & RequirementsJob Summary:This position is responsible for the upkeep of the facilities, grounds and equipment include inspecting buildings, maintaining inventory, and scheduling repairs and upholding preventative maintenance procedures under the direction of the maintenance supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities: - Perform various tasks for building and grounds maintenance
- Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Repairing faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
- Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
- Planning and scheduling repairs.
- Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Performing general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
- Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
- Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
- Participation in the Safety Committee and taking on assigned responsibilities.
- Supporting procedures and controls set in place to avoid Storm Water Pollution or supporting Oil-Spill prevention control measures.
- Organize Snow removal, salt/sand/split spreading in the winter for parking lots, loading dock areas, transportation ways, sidewalks surrounding the building.
- Making sure outdoor lighting, signage and flagpoles are in good working order.
- Maintain eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, spill containment kits, first aid cabinets, blood borne pathogen and sharps controls, PPE supplies.

- Exchange of information with shifts prior to/following work shift
- Ability to work independently and maintain quality on projects
- Properly complete all documentation required on the computer or by hand to track the job.
- Properly use computer to enter/retrieve job specific information and complete/reference training documents.
- Perform tasks assigned by others in a diverse and varied work environment.
- Follows cGMP policy and Standard Operating Procedure
Required Skills/Abilities: - Good mechanical aptitude and skills
- Strong knowledge in MS Excel, ink-dispensing software & color matching software.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals quickly and correctly.
- Skill in practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
- Skill in performing measurement operations with units in imperial and metric systems.
- Ability to measure with exceptional accuracy using various measurement tools.
- Able to read, interpret and follow documents such as work instructions, safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and maintenance instructions/manuals to properly perform work.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Willingness and ability to work with other team members and management.
- Strong work ethic and good attitude towards work.
- Honest, reliable team player.
- Safety conscious and comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Education and Experience: - High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Tech/trade school degree in maintenance technology or relevant field (preferred)
- 2 years or more experience in similar role (preferred)
Physical Requirements: - Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms above and below shoulder level
- Regularly stand and walk for 10-12 hours during a shift.
- Regularly communicate in some manner either by speech/hearing or through written communication.
- Regularly use of vision abilities including close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to push/pull.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
- Regularly exposed to moderate noise level in the work environment.
