Job Description

ARC Fabricators has an immediate need to hire a Maintenance Technician.

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs general facility maintenance activities including snow removal, carpentry, electrical maintenance such as replacing or repairing light fixtures, bulbs, outlets, and switches, maintaining and repairing bathroom and drinking fixtures as well as plumbing, and all other facilities related activities.
  • Performs maintenance of manufacturing and support machinery and equipment including preventative maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery and equipment.
  • Completes diagnostics on manufacturing and support machinery and equipment when malfunctions occur including visual inspection, listening for abnormal sounds, and other testing procedures including usage of electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance completed and documents new or updated maintenance related procedures.
  • Integral role in installation of new machinery, equipment, and new or repaired parts.
  • Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned and assists other departments as needed.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must have clean driving record (required)
  • Familiar with a wide range of technical skills including knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, electrical, welding, and HVAC.3 months of experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand.
  • The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training will be provided)
