Job Summary: We are seeking a Building Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and minor construction tasks in commercial buildings. This role ensures that our clients’ facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building systems, troubleshooting, and hands-on repairs, with excellent communication and customer service skills.
Hours: A typical workweek is Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30 PM, actual working hours and days may vary due to project deadlines; May require weekend or evening work at times.
Compensation: Starting at $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and finishes).
- Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Complete repairs such as door hardware adjustments, ceiling tile replacement, light fixture maintenance, drywall patching, and minor carpentry.
- Coordinate with subcontractors or vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and daily reports.
- Assist project managers and superintendents with warranty work and post-construction punch lists.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate with clients and office staff regarding project status, timelines, and needed materials.
- Support seasonal maintenance programs and emergency repair requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; technical training or trade certification in electrical, mechanical, or HVAC is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance or facilities support, preferably in a construction or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic instruments, and safety equipment.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and manuals.
Basic understanding of OSHA safety regulations and site safety practices.
Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a physically demanding environment.
Good record-keeping and time management skills.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
