Working full time year round leading a great team of groundskeepers! Responsible for managing the schedules and workloads of the staff while keeping up with the demands and request from the leaders at those properties. Making sure staffing is adequate and dealing with all hiring, disciplinary actions, policy enforcement, etc. Work M-F 6am to 2:30pm.
Job Summary
Manages grounds department budget, grounds keeping staff and operations, and occasionally assists construction with specifying and design review of construction grounds projects. Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all grounds and properties to provide a safe, attractive outdoor environment. Must be able to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations. The Groundskeeper Manager provides work direction and supervises all lawn/landscape, irrigation, park ramp maintenance, and snow removal services.
Supervises seasonal structural maintenance such as crack chasing, control and expansion joint repair, miscellaneous painting, and sign installation and removal in the parking ramp. Provides lawn and tree care services to Sanford Health facilities. Maintains irrigation systems, including installation and repair, and assists in the resolution of related problems. Performs necessary service for lawn and snow removal equipment, including irrigation equipment, trucks, trailers, and spraying equipment, including repair to trucks (routine and complex) and other stationary equipment and components which may include the fabrication of parts. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training new employees.
Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local codes, specifications, and ordinances, as well as Sanford Health policies and procedures.
