Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Job Purpose

 

The Human Resources Manager is a trusted partner to leaders and employees who provides hands-on HR support while helping shape a positive and compliant workplace. This role combines employee relations and people leadership with strategic workforce planning to drive meaningful impact across the business. This role is a great fit for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the work, leading change, and influencing culture.

 

Primary Responsibilities

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Offer expert guidance on interpreting and implementing policies and procedures. Address queries and issues and escalate highly complex or contentious matters to appropriate parties.
  • Develop and propose performance objectives; take actions to achieve the agreed objectives using the organization's performance management systems to enhance personal performance. In addition, manage and report on team performance; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members, hold individuals accountable for achieving these objectives, and take corrective action as necessary to ensure the accomplishment of these goals.
  • Oversee workstreams or small projects, ensuring coordination with related projects; apply structured change management methodologies to facilitate the adoption of change and integrate desired culture and behaviors.
  • Ensures Accountability by holding self and others accountable to meet commitments. Works at an advanced level to leverage HRIS and other relevant software applications to efficiently manage employee data, payroll information, benefits, and other HR functions.
  • Collect, process, and analyze HR data to enhance workforce planning and organization development.
  • Fosters cultural awareness by effectively communicating and interacting with people across the organization.
  • Interviews, hires, and trains new staff. Provides constructive and timely performance reviews. Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Works at an advanced level to monitor, interpret and understand policies/procedures to ensure their alignment with the organization.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree and five (5)+ years of HR or related field experience required or combined equivalent experience.
  • HRCI or SHRM certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Experience with Workday and/or another HRIS platform is preferred.
