Shift:

Full-Time Position
Shift schedule: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday

Position Summary:

The Material Handler I (Part Denester) is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials throughout production operations. This role focuses on receiving, unloading, moving, staging, kitting, and organizing inventory and work-in-progress materials throughout the facility. The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring production teams have the right materials at the right time to maintain uninterrupted workflow and meet customer deadlines.

This position also supports inventory accuracy by properly scanning and logging material movements within the ERP system. Material Handlers operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, cranes, and hoists to safely transport materials throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

Move raw materials, fabricated parts, WIP, finished goods, and equipment to designated locations throughout the facility.

Unload inbound trucks and verify materials against packing lists for accuracy.

*Pick, kit, stage, and organize materials for downstream production processes and customer shipments.

Maintain proper inventory transactions and location tracking within the ERP system through scanning and data entry.

Manage inbound and outbound staging areas to support uninterrupted production flow.

Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, carts, and other material handling equipment.

Stack and organize parts and materials for safe transportation and efficient storage.

Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

Prepare purchased materials and components for production use.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas including staging areas and forklift lanes.

Perform basic facility maintenance duties including lawn care, snow removal, and fleet maintenance as assigned.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and production teams regarding material needs and priorities.

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and operational processes.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Forklift certification required (performed in-house).

Experience:

0-3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling preferred.

Basic knowledge of material handling equipment and inventory systems is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials.

Frequently required to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds or more.

Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures.

Note: The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a monthly bonus.
