Meat Packer – Full-Time, Benefits Included

Location: Just 2 miles north of Sioux Falls on Cliff Ave.

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Meat Packer to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality, and wants a stable, full-time position with excellent benefits.

No two days are exactly alike as you'll help package, label, inspect, and prepare meat products while keeping our operation clean, organized, and running efficiently.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Meat Packaging & Preparation

• Wrap and package meat products using butcher paper, plastic wrap, and vacuum-sealing equipment.
• Operate packaging machines, scales, and other equipment safely.
• Accurately weigh, label, and price packaged products.
• Prepare customer orders according to specifications and order requirements.

Quality Control

• Inspect meat products for freshness, color, texture, and overall quality.
• Identify and report damaged or defective products.
• Ensure products meet established quality standards.

Inventory Management

• Assist with tracking inventory and monitoring product quantities.
• Rotate products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Help receive, organize, and stock incoming products.

Sanitation & Food Safety

• Maintain clean and organized work areas, equipment, and tools.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
• Help prevent cross-contamination through proper handling and storage practices.

Customer Service & Teamwork

• Provide friendly and courteous assistance to customers.
• Help fulfill customer orders and special requests.
• Work alongside butchers, packers, and supervisors to keep daily operations running smoothly.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous packaging, food production, warehouse, or meat processing experience is a plus.
• Ability to operate basic packaging equipment or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Dependable, organized, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment.
