Description:
FourFront Design Inc is looking for a Licensed Mechanical Engineer to join our professional team. This engaging position works closely with clients, subconsultants, and interdisciplinary team members to successfully design mechanical systems for commercial, federal, and municipal clients throughout the nation. Our work is primarily in the federal sector, or related project types. Experience in federal projects is desired but not required. This position is remote (with in-office options based on location) and travel required. Pay wages:
$100,000-$125,000 annual (depending on experience and qualifications)

Shift:
40 hours per week. Standard workdays and hours of FourFront Design Inc are Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5 PM and Friday 8 AM to 12 PM. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Flexibility in schedule is considered if job duties are satisfactorily met.

Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifying experience.
• Fundamental of Engineering (FE) exam (NCEES) passed.
• License Required: Professional Engineering (PE) in any state of United States.
• Maintain NCEES record for additional state licensure application.
• Proficient in Revit MEP, AutoCAD; Visual-3D helpful.
• Preferred federal experience but not required.
• Effective communication skills with ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Duties:
• Assess the requirements of the client’s needs; manage the design and production aspects of the project.
• Function as the mechanical design project manager and/or mechanical design engineer; responsible for design, planning, organizing, and directing the activities of ME for FourFront projects.
• Develop and maintain design standards that coordinate with current company standards.
• Responsible for management of mechanical design Quality Control procedures.
• Promote and provide expertise in sustainable design practices as required by the project.
• Review design and construction budgets and schedules, manage work accordingly.
• Determine mechanical design and project scope, budget and staffing requirements.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and ordinances. Work with code officials and other design professionals when an interpretation or exception to building codes is required.
• Assign and review work where required and provide coordination with multiple disciplines.
• Provide construction administrative reviews, application for payment reviews, prompt reports and required coordination.
• Interpret the intent of mechanical contract drawings and specifications for the Client, General Contractor, Building Inspector, and other interested parties.
• Prepare and distribute schedules, shop drawings and samples.
• Responsible for the accuracy and quality of all technical work.
• Participate in the preparation of proposals.
• Review contracts, invoices, and other project documentation before distribution to the client.
• Coordinate work of outside consultants in mechanical engineering.
• Support development of the mechanical engineering line of business to meet firm objectives.
• Work Authorization/Security Clearance.
• Complete company-required drug test; completion of a background check and fingerprinting may be required by client.
• Must be able to work in the United States.
