Media Relations Strategist
HIRING RANGE DOQ: $2,859.20 - $3,157.60 bi-weekly

JOB SUMMARY
Love to tell stories that make an impact. Help shape our community as a Media Relations Strategist. In this role, no two days will be the same. You’ll work across City departments to provide accurate, timely, and relevant information to the Sioux Falls community through earned media. Alongside our team, you’ll build and manage relationships with news outlets, coordinate news releases and press conferences.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in public or media relations; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required.

The City participates in the South Dakota Retirement System. Employees receive a 6% match. Additionally, employees may choose to enroll in a Deferred Compensation Plan.
