The South Dakota Human Services Center is posting a rare opening in their Medical Laboratory Department. This position is for an average of 20 hours per week (dayshift, weekdays) and includes taking call approximately one out of every five weeks. What you will do:
  • Collect blood samples from clients in all treatment areas.
  • Process and package patient samples for sending out for reference laboratory testing.
  • Perform general maintenance on laboratory analyzers and general laboratory equipment.
  • Run quality control samples on test systems per policy and ensure proper functioning of analyzers.
  • Perform CLIA Waived testing and CLIA Moderately complex laboratory testing in the areas of hematology, chemistry, and urinalysis.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as assigned.

This position is eligible for Veterans' Preference per ARSD 55:10:02:08.
