Position Summary:
The Medical Records & Data Entry Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the clinical and administrative operations of Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services. This position is responsible for accurately managing patient health records and entering data into electronic systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining confidentiality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to supporting mental health professionals in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain and organize patient medical records in electronic formats.
· Accurately enter patient data, and other documentation into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
· Assist clinicians with documentation needs and record requests.
· Scan, file, and archive documents according to established protocols.
· Communicate effectively with clinical staff to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
· Support intake and discharge processes by managing related documentation.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework in health information or related field preferred.
· Strong typing and data entry skills with high accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
· Knowledge of HIPAA and behavioral health documentation standards.

Fast-paced behavioral health center with a focus on patient-centered care. Collaborative team environment involving clinicians, administrative staff, and support personnel. May involve sitting for extended periods and handling confidential information daily.
