We have a full-time position working 40 hours per week that provides comprehensive administrative support to the SDDC Healthcare staff. This role is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking both on site and off site medical and specialty appointments. Key duties include maintaining and organizing medical records and electronic health records, distributing medical documentation as directed, and completing data entry tasks with accuracy and confidentiality. The position also manages appointment confirmations, follow ups, referrals, and provider recommendations to ensure continuity of care. Additional administrative tasks may be assigned as needed to support overall department operations.
Licenses and Certifications:Must complete the South Dakota Medication Certification course. A licensed nurse may delegate the administration of medications authorized only to unlicensed assistive personnel who have a minimum of high school education or the equivalent and who are registered with the Board of Nursing.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Knowledge :

- c oordinating transportation and ensuring required documentation is prepared in advance.
- h elping coordinate client flow during high volume periods.
- m aintaining accurate medical calendars and appointment logs.
- m aintaining Medication Pass Certification and assisting with medication administration within scope.
- s upporting medication documentation and communication with nursing staff.
- h elping ensure compliance with medication policies and procedures.
- m aintaining organized medical records and ensuring timely distribution of medical information.
- a ssisting with audits, compliance documentation, and regulatory requirements.
- g athering, comparing, and summarizing data from a variety of sources.
- o perating a variety of office equipment.
- t yping accurately.
Abilities
- a ttend medical appointments as needed to assist with communication between providers and care teams, ensure accurate understanding and documentation of treatment plans, and support clients during appointments when appropriate.
- e nsure confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
- s erve as a liaison between medical providers, nursing, pharmacy, and program staff.
- c ommunicate information clearly and concisely.
- c omprehend written materials.
- establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and providers.
