This position is an in office position located at our main office at 47077 276th St Lennox, SD 57039.
In this role, you’ll be a trusted resource, a problem-solver, and a critical link between our members and the services that power their lives. From helping members navigate our web and mobile platforms to ensuring accurate billing records, your attention to detail will make a real impact every single day.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Be the first point of contact for members — answer questions, resolve issues, and provide expert guidance on billing, payments, and service programs.
- Process payments, manage accounts, and keep our database running like clockwork.
- Troubleshoot concerns related to service usage, payment plans, or technical support.
- Help members sign up for convenient services like auto-pay, online billing, and energy assistance programs.
- Open and close accounts, issue billing details, and keep our member services efficient and responsive.
- Analyze data, monitor trends, and recommend improvements to enhance the member experience.
- Support the Cooperative’s mission by ensuring every interaction is professional, respectful, and solution-oriented.
You’ll Also:
- Process returned checks and notify members of account changes.
- Handle new applications, levelized billing requests, and service orders.
- Be a resource for low-income support programs and energy-saving initiatives.
- Continuously look for ways to make our service smoother, faster, and more member-friendly.

Job Requirements
To perform this role successfully, individuals must meet the following requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or 2–3 years of related experience/training, or a combination of both.
Language Skills: Able to read and interpret technical documents, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with groups.
Reasoning Skills: Able to follow written, verbal, or visual instructions and solve problems using practical judgment.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with relevant industry software is preferred.
Core Competencies: Problem-solving, verbal communication, documentation, data management, and process improvement.
Physical Requirements: Regular sitting and talking; occasional walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and basic physical movement. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and depth perception.
