Men's Center Support Staff – Full-Time

Schedule: Full-time position requiring flexibility to work evenings, weekends, Sundays, holidays, and occasional additional shifts as needed.

Union Gospel Mission Sioux Falls is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to join our Men's Center team. As a Christ-centered ministry serving individuals experiencing homelessness and other life challenges, we are looking for team members who have a servant's heart, strong communication skills, and a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Our Men's Center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing shelter, meals, support, and hope to those in need.

Primary Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist guests while maintaining a safe, respectful, and structured environment.
• Communicate and consistently enforce UGM policies, procedures, and shelter expectations.
• Monitor facility activities, conduct routine walkthroughs, and help maintain the safety and security of guests, staff, and visitors.
• Assist with guest check-ins, daily shelter operations, and general facility needs.
• Respond appropriately to conflicts, emergencies, and challenging situations using good judgment and de-escalation skills.
• Maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, and communicate important information to other staff and leadership.
• Work cooperatively with team members to provide consistent care, accountability, and support to guests.
• Assist with additional responsibilities and shift coverage as ministry needs arise.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, Sundays, and holidays.
