REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION LEVEL:High school diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE DESIRED:One to three years' experience in similar positions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Constant hand-eye/mind-eye coordination, hearing; intermittent keyboarding, use of wrists, hands, fingers, speaking, typing and writing. Frequent filing, sitting, standing and walking.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Ability to communicate effectively with and relate well to others; must be computer literate; knowledgeable and proficient in accounting and record keeping; must be knowledgeable in administering first aid.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES- Serves as receptionist for the counseling office.
- Types correspondence and reports.
- Register, schedule, assign lockers and request records for new students.
- Maintains counselor's files, daily calendar and appointments.
- Enters data into computer.
- Organizes test materials.
- Organizes midterm reports.
- Assists with grade OMRs.
- Maintains and updates enrollment information.
- Maintain and purge student files.
- Assist parents and students with Parent view questions and passwords.
- Assist with Mentoring program.
- Complete proper procedures for transfer of students out of the building.
- Successfully completes First Aid, CPR, and SD Board of Nursing approved Medication Administration training and certification.
- Provides care/first aid for students with injury and/or illness. Care could be emergent or non-emergent in nature.
- Completes district accident reports.
- Provides care for students with chronic health conditions, in accordance with student's care plan as delegated by the school nurse. Care could be emergent or non-emergent in nature.
- Obtains authorization, logs, and dispenses medication to students, as delegated by the school nurse.
- Processes student immunizations in accordance with SD state law and district procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

PAY INFORMATIONLevel KX, starting at $23.23 per hour
Pay Day: Last working day of each month.
HOURS & FTEMonday through Friday, 7:45am to 4:15pm with a 30-minute unpaid break
1.0 FTE, 40 hours per week, 10 months
