The Division of Child Support is looking to recruit a proficient and customer focused professional for the Modification of Child Support Orders Program. The primary duties associated with this position will include reviewing Petitions for Modification to ensure they are completed accurately and required documentation attached; reviewing court orders to determine if the order is in accordance with laws and regulations; entering information into a database; processing Notice of Hearings, Referee Reports, and court orders; filing proofs of service and other documents with the Clerks of Court; and responding to inquiries from customers who have questions regarding the modification process or need assistance with completing the Petition for Modification.

Working conditions:

Office Environment, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of:

Knowledge of computers and a variety of programs including Microsoft Office Suite software (Outlook, Word, and Teams) as well as specialized programs and databases used within the Department. Knowledge of child support principals, concepts, and case management practices (preferred but not required).

Skills to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up with minimal direction; obtain and provide information by phone and email in a clear and courteous manner; and exercise delegated authority to take action, and to recognize when it is appropriate to seek assistance from others when limits of delegated authority have been reached.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; demonstrate compassion, respect, courtesy, and tact when interacting with others; work in collaborative team environments and demonstrate effective time management and organizational skills, often handling multiple projects at one time with minimal supervision. This position also requires the ability to pay close attention to detail and to communicate effectively and timely. Ability to interpret court orders and other legal documents (preferred but not required).
