Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

About the Role
The Mortgage Banker solicits and originates mortgage loans saleable to the secondary market. Additional responsibilities include cross-selling mortgage loan customers with other bank products and services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Originate secondary market real estate loans
• Process applications as needed
• Assist with all areas of mortgage process from application through closing as needed
• Schedule appointments
• Interview applicants
• Determine eligibility and appropriate loan programs
• Complete applications
• Schedule closings
• Cross-sell other Bank products and services
• Read updates and guidelines changes for FHA, VA, SDHDA and Conventional loan products and regulatory issues.
• Keep abreast of secondary market enhancements and industry changes
• Assist Mortgage Associates with issues and questions regarding loan files, closings and documentation
• Review files for timely service and closings

Skills and Qualifications

• 0-2 years in a real estate origination department or environment

• Understand investor and insurer requirements to insure compliance and loan sale ability

• Basic computer skills

• Proficiency of the English language

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to concentrate and work independently

• Attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills

• Capacity to learn, adapt to change, and become proficient quickly

• Ability to handle stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies and procedures and uphold the PREMIER Way
